Our local service projects include:
Club campaign to end Domestic Violence
Almond Blossom Queen Contest and fashion show – we partner with the Chamber of commerce to put on the Queen Contest and Soroptimist hosts the annual Almond Blossom fashion show.
Girls of the month- Honoring an exceptional girl from each high school selected by the teachers and a $2500.00 scholarship for the girl of the year.
Women’s opportunity award- This program provides cash grants to women who are working to better their lives through additional skill training and education.
Mae Facto Youth Citizenship Scholarships in the amount of $1,000, one recipient from each high school.
Violet Richardson Award – This cash award recognizes young women 14- 17 who make the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts.
Making a difference for Women Award -This award honors women in our community who are making extraordinary differences in the lives of other women.
